Actor Brad Pitt is now a high-end furniture designer

The latest and hottest news in the furniture industry is that actor Brad Pitt has now joined hands with New Jersey-based furniture designerFrank Pollaroto create a high-end furniture collection for a luxury design house.The 48-year-old actor-turned-furniture designer cited that he had been sketching ideas for buildings and furniture since the early 1990s, when he discovered Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Frank Lloyd Wright.The whole idea of a new furniture line was born after Frank discovered Hollywood hunk's amazing drawings of furniture designs.

Brad Pitt has collaborated with Emile-Jacques Ruhlmann, Pierre Chareau and Paul Dupre-Lafon to design Art Nouveau and Art Deco inspired furniture collection, which will include about a dozen pieces.The line includes limited edition bed with a glossy tropical hardwood frame, a dining table, a cocktail table, side tables with a metal base finished with 24K gold, club chairs and a bathtub for two that's done in Statuario Venato marble.The initial designs will come signed by Pitt and Pollaro.
